OUR FATHER
by Brother Mandus
And Jesus Christ taught us to pray, saying:
Our Father, which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And leave us not in temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen.
It is the simplest, most perfect, and profound prayer ever given to man
and it holds
within it the keys to the Kingdom of God. Its perfect fulfilment by man
would bring the
whole world into a paradise of peace. It is a prayer which is spoken by
millions of people
every day. But unfortunately, its wonder-working power is mainly lost because
the words
are usually spoken without a glowing realisation of the release of God's
Love and Will for
us. It is not enough to pray in a repetitive fashion, because the words
lose their meaning,
and without faith in the implication of what we say, prayer is as ineffectual
as a giant
locomotive with the throttle closed.
Therefore, let us pray as our Lord Jesus Christ must have prayed. Let us
place ourselves
in His mind, and pour out from our souls this mighty prayer of faith, through
which we are
lifted into the very presence of our Father, recognising and believing
that He responds
immediately to our worship, love and faith.

Our Father which art In Heaven, hallowed be Thy name
I worship You, Father, who art in heaven, and within everything that
exists in heaven and
earth. Hallowed be Thy name! I love Thee with all my heart, and with all
my soul, and with
all my mind, and with all my strength. I praise Thee with adoration that
springs from my
soul, in thanksgiving for all the blessings You pour forth upon the world.
In Thee I live and move and have my being, for without Thy spirit there
is nothing. I know
Thy presence within my own soul, body and mind. I look without and see
Thee in the
stars and in every grain of sand. I worship Thy spirit in the flowers,
the trees, harvests
and seasons. I breathe Thy spirit in the air, and feel Thy caress in the
warm sunshine. I
find Thee in the love we bear for one another, in the fellowship of Thy
sons and daughters
everywhere.
I bless Thee with my soul, and give thanks for Thy life within me, and
for all that I am.
Thank You, Father, for everything. Hallowed be Thy name, this day, as I
abide in Thee
and allow Thy love to flow through me in every thought, word and deed.
·
Thy kingdom come
Come, my Father to fill my life and the lives of all Thy children everywhere
with infinite
peace, love and perfection. Take my life, Lord, and let it be consecrated
to Thee. As I die
to self, Thy kingdom becomes revealed in me through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I thankfully
accept Thee, and effortlessly allow Thy bessed nature to fill me, and to
flow through me to
bless everyone else. Come, Father; for I am come unto Thee.
·
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven
Nevertheless, Father, let Thy will be done, not mine. I truly know
that in Heaven, in Thy
eternal spirit, Thy will is perfectly accomplished through those who dwell
therein. I truly
understand that Thy will for me can only bring forth that which is perfect
in my life. Heal
me this day of all selfish desires, false ambitions, pride and self-sufficiency.
I seek nothing
but the full expression of Thy will for me. I surrender my personal will,
and thankfully know
that every experience which comes my way invites me to accept it, and transform
it into
good through my ever-present Perfection.
With Christ-like love, and the faith of a little child, now rest secure
unto all eternity in
Thy love, knowing that Thy Will for me is the perfect expression of the
Christ way of life. In
Thee I become invincible and free. Through Thy will working through me,
I know that my
life is already perfectly accomplished. Thy will for me can only be perfect
fulfilment, perfect
overcoming, and perfect progression in revealing my true nature in the
image and
likeness of Christ. Therefore, I am poised in perfect peace, and allow
Thy will
effortlessly to unfold perfect everything in my life, and in the lives
of all Thy peoples. Let
Thy will be done Father, on earth as it is in heaven, so that all Thy children
every where
may find and live in heaven, here and now.
·
Give us this day our daily bread
Thank You, Father for Thy perfect providence. Thank You, Father, for
Thy wisdom,
knowledge and goodness in every aspect of my life, and in the lives of
all Thy people
everywhere. Our daily supply spiritually; mentally, physically and materially
-- all spring
from Thee, through whom all things are provided. I thank You, Father for
everything that
has come into my life and into the world from the beginning.
I no longer depend upon material possessions as my source of strength,
but look unto
Thee for everything. As I dwell in Thy kingdom, all things are added unto
me to meet
every need. As I look upon the world, and all Thy peoples, I know that
they are upheld in
Thy everlasting arms, and that Thy will is being unfolded in eternal protection
and love.
Thank You, Father, for abundant life for everyone, everywhere.
·
Forgive us our trespasses
Now I have found Thee, I turn completely away from all transgressions
of the past, and
enter the light of this moment in which Thy love prevails. As I truly repent
the sins and
mistakes of the darker days, I am now come home to Thee, and thankfully
accept Thy
wondrous love in which all things are instantly forgiven and forgotten.
I am this day, therefore, reborn cleansed in soul, mind and body. I arise
in Christ, and am
made whole and free. Thank You, Father, for Thy cleansing power which makes
me pure
in heart, filled with overflowing love for all people everywhere, in compassion,
tolerance,
kindness and understanding. Thank You, Father, for the light which now
illumines my soul.
·
As we forgive them
Even as in Christ I am redeemed and forgiven all my mistakes, so do
I now freely, gladly,
and thankfully forgive those who have ever hurt me. Being now one with
Thee. I can love
and greet the Christ in everyone, everywhere. I look through every human
frailty, sin or
imperfection, and bless them in Thy name. To those who have trespassed
against me, I
send all my love through Jesus Christ, and they are lifted up into Thy
peace and
perfection. I am therefore now free from all resentment, criticism or judgement,
and am
content to know that we are all Thy children, poised for ever in Thy spirit,
knowing that all
things work together for good. Use me Father, as a channel of light and
love to all
mankind -- unconditionally.
·
And leave us not in temptation
I have given my life into Thy keeping, and ask only that Thy will may
be expressed in
every thought, word and deed. Therefore, whenever fall into temptation,
or depart from
the Christ way of life, bring me back home into the central peace again.
In myself I am
nothing, and can accomplish nothing without Thy sustaining spirit. I therefore
leave myself
completely and unconditionally in Thy care, and rest secure in the knowledge
that You will
forever lead me in the ways of righteousness, and immediately deliver me
from all evil.
Even as I seek these things for myself, I contemplate Thy holy spirit indwelling
all Thy
children everywhere in the world. I see the Christ in them, and contemplate
only infinite
and absolute perfection. In my love for all people, I can pray with complete
faith that they
are all being lifted out of temptation and delivered from evil. Even as
I speak these words,
know that the flame of love and freedom is illumining the hearts and minds
of all mankind.
Thank You, Father - it is so.
·
For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever
And so, my soul reaches up into union and communion with Thee, and
I abide in Thy
kingdom of infinite love unto all eternity. I know Thy presence within,
and worship Thy
presence unto the high heavens, where Thy angels dwell. In all things;
in all people,
everywhere, there is only one universal Spirit and personal Saviour. Thou
art indeed our
Father, in whom we live and move and have our being, for Thine is the kingdom,
the
power and the glory for ever. Thank You, Father, for everything.
